Weapon set MADE OF OAK GROWN AND MADE IN HOKKAIDO, JAPAN. Superb quality for intensive work.
(photos were taken with plastic film packaging)
Jo, Bokken, Tanto set. The wood used to produce these weapons is planted, grown, and processed entirely in Hokkaido in the Akan region of Japan.
The wood, having withstood the wind and snow in the harsh Akan environment, is perfectly suited to bokuto in terms of hardness, weight and durability.
Not only is it strong, durable and water resistant, but the beauty and elegance of oak, which is neither too heavy nor too light, make it the ideal wood for the Bokken and Jo of Aikido and Kenjutsu.
Standard bokken length 101.5 cm, approx. 500g. - Jo 128 cm, diameter 2.4 cm, approx. 440g. - Tanto 29 cm, approx. 110g.
Due to shipping costs and the difficulty of packaging and shipping, these weapons cannot be sold separately.

The price of weapons "made in Japan"
The price of "made in Japan" weapons has increased considerably. For about 2 years, "made in Japan" wooden weapons have become very difficult to obtain because manufacturers are closing one after the other and there are only two or three left. The reason is the increasingly rationed supply of wood, the cutting of forests in Japan is very regulated, and the price of wood is skyrocketing! I am suffering successive increases and we are doing everything possible not to increase our prices. The current price will not be able to last long, it remains competitive despite everything since our competitors face the same problem.
